Chelsea’s transfer strategy paying off? | Matchweek 7 Preview

As we approach Matchweek 7, Chelsea look like one of the most vibrant teams in the Premier League this season. Sitting fourth, with the most goals scored, we ask whether their transfer strategy is beginning to pay off, ahead of Nottingham Forest’s visit this weekend. Elsewhere, in-form Aston Villa host struggling Man Utd, while Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal all play on Saturday, vying for top spot.

  1. Neville’s ‘billion pound blue bottle jobs’ sound bite didn’t last long did it. He’s now forced to admit we are looking like a legit top 4 team & Palmer is the best player in the PL

  2. I'm not a fans of Aston Villa or Chelsea FC but other big team need to watch-out for these 2 club. Recently, they (Aston Villa) proved that they're not like any average mid-team or poor performances crisis (2015-2016 & 2022-2023) like Chelsea FC themselves.

Palmer & Duran can cause a BIG THREAT to any big team if these both maintain their performances on pitch.

What shocked 🫨 me the most is; even Aston Villa can beat Bayern Munich.

  3. Right now, i wish we had bought Duran/Omorodion instead of Felix. Nkunku can play as a 10 with Duran/Omorodion competing with Jackson. I'm never questioning Chelsea's scouts next transfer.

  4. If Chelsea had Osimhen instead of Jackson, then Palmer should have around 20 or 25 assists plus his goals. Total of 50 or 55 G/A

Note: Jackson has lost around 30 big chances since 2023, Osimhen could have at least scored half of those goals or more.

With this, Chelsea needs to start Nkunku, which has a better definition but also can link so good playing as 9 with Palmer as 10, Nkunku has a better GX and dribbling / assists that Jackson, Trust me, Chelsea could be dangerous with Nkunku as 9.

  5. Honestly, Chelsea did better than United in the transfer market in the past 3 years. Chelsea bought the best player in EPL for 40M; United spent 85M on the largest turd in EPL history.
