Not sure what was the point of City firing their manager in favour of Cushing, who is only half-interested anyway and was fired himself from his previous role in the MLS after a pretty disastrous time there. Cushing has managed one win against Chelsea, but the least important win of all after losing the League Cup and crashing out of the UWCL.
I really don't think Gareth Taylor would have done any worse than Cushing and he still had the dressing room. In fact Taylor might even have surprised us all. The timing of the firing was frankly bizarre and if City don't qualify for the UWCL this year in the league then unfortunately this whole episode will have played a huge part.
Chelsea don't play soccer. They play rugby. They use upper bodies to avoid fouls, tackling and pushing opponents with shoulders and arms. It's not soccer. In fact, players like Ramirez and Bright look like rugger men rather than soccer players

Lauren James is still very young, but her improved defensive skills give her the potential to surpass Marta. She is the type of player you want to watch, whether or not you support Chelsea or England. What a fantastic player!

My opinion – No doubt Chelsea is so much better in this game. Almost everything. As a neutral fan, why did Man City concede 3 goals? No excuse, definitely. The first 2 goals… no one can save the first two goals. World class goal. Cannot blame that on Man City defending. It just happened, and it was unlucky for Man City. The third goal was the defender's mistake and also a bit of luck for Chelsea. What I mean by luck is that the shot was not hit properly by Ramirez. Actually, she missed that shot, but somehow, it deflected from her other foot and went in. Haha… It could have gone somewhere else, but it found its way right into the corner of the net. If it went straight, the GK could easily save it. Chelsea players have more stamina and energy in this game.
Man City looks exhausted. 4 games in 13 days between both of them. Chelsea has complete squad depth. They can rotate their players and still maintain the perfect performance all the time. Meanwhile, Man City lacks so much in squad depth. They have to play most of their players for 90 minutes throughout these 4 games, especially the defenders. Just look at their bench. How many outfield players are on the list? Only 3. Not even meeting the 5 substitutions they can have per game. Anyway, based on the lack of squad depth condition, I prefer Chelsea to play against Barca. It looks more exciting to watch. Equal strength. I don't want the same excuse of squad depth if Man City plays against Barca. Both teams, Chelsea and Barca, only lost one time this season. Which team will lose for the second time?
