  1. True story, years ago, I get a call from a good friend, he says, 'D, you have some time on your hands?'. So I say (cause he's a good friend), sure, what's up? So my buddy says, 'my former high school men's soccer team needs a coach, no one volunteered.' So I agree, and the next day or so, I walk over to the high school, and sure enough, there's about 17 or 18 guys screwing around with a ball. Just the school librarian sitting off some where. So I just walk onto the pitch and say, you, you stand over there next to the post, and you, you go take some corners. And you, you're standing next to the goaltender.' And they're like, whaa? who is this guy. No intro, no speech, just, let's go. Didn't even tell them my name at first. But we went far into the playoffs, and at the end of the year, one of the players said, 'you know D, when you showed up, we were all pissed off, but you really made playing fun, and we really enjoyed it.' So there you have it, and I come from a very interesting lineage of soccer history, but that's all I'll say about that 🙂

  2. Look, I am not saying it gets called (my home nation famously scored the 1-0 vs Brazil off a screen) but generally they are not allowed because it turns into blocking without the ball.

  3. Pride of Rhode Island, a huge inspiration to me that Little Rhody can produce prominent figures. Hoping I’ll be in that list in the coming decades 🙂

  4. basketball and soccer (yes im calling it soccer as im an american and thats what we call it) are easily my favorite sports and i think they both have a lot of similarities that i enjoy . i hate the celtics , but this was a cool video

  5. football gaffers can learn a lot from other sports but they are too proud or something, or maybe tunnel vision. icehockey in particular there's so much you can take from there.. arsenal geting ideas from the nfl thats not too bad as set play is like 90% of the nfl

  6. Yeah i always said growing up to people that didn't do the other that theyre basically the same game. Both are really good at teaching movement. Broad and acute amounts of space, passing, lanes, all of it.
