Jeezus christ Uruguay has gone downhill with Canada giving them stiff competition.

This loss is all on Jesse Marsch. After Canada took the lead, Jesse had to put the team into defensive mode and park the bus to defend that lead. With no low block and Canada still going wide open to get a third goal, the entire rest of the game played right into Uruguay’s hands. And Suarez was right there with the equalizer. Canada had about six minutes to defend their lead and instead, they gave it up and the rest was a nightmare. You wanna know why Marsch was sacked at both RB Leipzig and Leeds United? Well, here you go!

I was sitting right behind the goal when Canada scored the bicycle kick and I said we have ourselves a game. I'm going to be honest it was 50/50 the whole game. Unfortunate loss on the final kicks but Canada showed up and showed off this tournament and gained the respect of millions

Frustrating that Canada didn’t defend their lead in the 90th minutes but good game nonetheless. Positioning and defense has to get better. US and Canada tend to do the same thing of leaving attackers alone and the defense waiting until the last second to run back or pressure and then not being able to keep up with speed.
