Would be good to do so after winning the tournament. Otherwise focus on how to win more matches. The best way to earn others' respect is to put the ball into their goals.
Realistically Canada wouldn’t have made it farther regardless, but he’s speaking truths. This coach is also a amazing coach, most of these players are young and he decided to test them all out, we saw some potentially great players in the future and I hope for the World Cup they get far.

Concacaf is a second-class citizen in futbol, (soccer) what you northerners call it. Yes, you will always be second or third-class citizens because you have nothing to play amongst world champions.
What exactly is he whining about tha the other teams didn't have to deal with? Yes some refs were bad but one of them helped Canada so much in one of the games, another ref screwed Chile.
More must be said about the corruption between officials and certain teams it’s so blatant sometimes it’s blatant cheating

All you can do is protect your players, and they will in turn protect themselves.
Checkout Euro 2020(happened in 2021 due to covid), and three of our black players for our England national side were racially abused after either missing or having their penalties saved at the England v Italy final. It still continues, but these guys improved for their clubs, and some played well in the Euros which just ended. Unfortunately until something is done, it’s going to continue. Even team clubs (seen it with black players in Spain and Italy mainly), whereby racial abuse is rife.
I am not Canadian but I perfectly understand their point I have been in many tournaments between two south American teams. Whether you are a player or fan, and you happen to be black , you need to be ready to be abused, not just from the fans but from the players too. It's strange because, it seems that these people don't understand anything about race and human decency. I have a 4 year old son, that I am afraid to take him to one these matches because he would hear all this monkey chants.

Canada can play football?
I see a lot of words of praise, and rightfully, Canada is doing better. However, I now understand the underlying issue with North American Teams. Soccer is not a sport you follow/play for the fairness of it, but for the passion of it. You can't be asking for a yellow card or red card every single time someone touches you. If there is something that needs to be learn its that you keep playing if you feel you had a chance to score… even if that chance means you roll over the floor after a touch, but you don't whine because someone call you bad words, or spit in your face… everyone knows, its not right. Good players will shut you up with talent and passion, nothing more… that's the way of soccer… I will just say to anyone who disagree with my statement, to go back and watch some older world cups from the mid 00 on wards, or super classics like Barcelona and Real Madrid you will find why it is so different in NA.
Thank you Jesse Marsch for standing up for football as a SPORT ! The administrators, officials, influencers, coaches, players, fans see football as a culture! Culture comparable to the bold and the beautiful thing with drama and emotions. Football is first and foremost sport !!

I am originally from Latin America, I love many things of my culture but one that I dislike a lot and one of the reasons why I left so many years ago is the culture of bullying without any limits or consequences. I was never bullied but I witness so much that made me sick. It is part of the culture and in fact if you don't bully, make fun of anybody that think different or insult your opponents even in sports you are a going to be isolated in the social groups or relegated.
All in all, this Copa America has been deplorable in every aspect. And I say it being Argentine. We won but this was disgusting.
so the same treatment as EUropean players are getting in NBA.
