These pundits aren't looking at managers on an apples-to-apples basis. A lot of the appointees have won titles with top teams competing in the CL (Emery – Sevilla, Silva – Olympiakos, Pellegrini – PL champion) Also, English managers in the lower leagues don't have much experience playing continental style football or managing foreign players. As such it's harder to attract the best european players.

As a Spurs fan, I struggle to see how other Spurs fans moan about Mourinho playing boring football, first off. Inter 3 Barcelona 1 against a world-class Barcelona team Inter go on to win the Champions League, Serie A, and Coppa Italia Treble in the 2009 – 10 season! In the 2011–12 Real Madrid CF season under Mourinho's tenure Real Madrid broke several long-standing records throughout the season, the most prominent being most goals in a season, previously held by the Real Madrid team which scored 107 goals during the 1989–90 season, by scoring 121 this season. Another major record that Real Madrid broke was the total number of points in one La Liga season. Their total of 100 was one point better than the previous record that was set by Barcelona in the 2009–10 season. I understand that Pochettino may have played attacking football and got us top four, four years in a row but we only managed Runner up 2019 Champions League, Runner up 2015–16 Premier League season, and 2015 League Cup Runner up! Mourinho is a proven winner his teams play very good football while winning honors!
The funny thing is Mourinho found and developed youth talent then won the UEFA Cup and the Champions Leauge the following season with no money at Porto it's funny how the people who criticize him for the need to spend big money and not bringing in enough youth seem to forget that! Up the Spurs C.O.Y.S.
