04:00 Under the previous format, Cabo Verde would have needed to win a two-legged playoff after winning their group to qualify for the World Cup, and they'd have been in the unseeded pot (brutal). Still could have made it, but who knows? Africa was long overdue for more representation at the World Cup, so I am glad to see CAF as one of the major beneficiaries of expansion. The World Cup has been better for it.
