  1. This guy always tries to downplay Morocco because of his severe bias towards his view on Africa being this monolithic ethnic culture that doesn’t jive with his view on Northern Africa. He says the rest of Africa aren’t far behind Morocco, which is an insane remark to make when you compare rankings, WC runs, global titles, infrastructure, women’s team, youth teams, academies, domestic league, facilities, etc. Rest of Africa is absolutely far behind and we need to call out that problem so we can fix it. And I say this as a sub Saharan African. Just feels a bit typical of our mentality to always trivialise the successes of other African countries. In his case, he tends to always do it to North Africa

  2. Egypt cheated =(
Cape Verde will make it further next Cup for sure. They ARE LIONS . they made Argentinians quake with fear ; from the team to the fans were all afraid of mighty Cape Verde.

  3. One of the issue is also with African Footbal is the the CAF itself, remeber the recent incident in the Africa Cup of Nations final speak to itself the quality of African Football.

  4. I would say morroco had a advantage but I see them plato now , dr Congo are in rebuild yet they completely put a scared on the 2 top nation drawing vs Portugal and almost beating England until last minute, dr Congo , morroco and Ivory Coast is the comp now, Cape Verde is a fluke until they prove otherwise

  6. If Morocco had advanced first, it would have been in the final against Spain (of course, if there hadn't been an official and forced intention to have Argentina in the final). If it weren't for the injuries, Morocco would also have been in the final.

  7. Personally Cape Verde has had the best performance. Against Spain good low block defence and the Keeper was amazing. Against Uruguay they started showing they could attack, great defence and Vozinha was rocky understandable due to pressure from his mother arriving and millions of expectations. Against saidu they dominated stellar defense and attack many operations to get goals but unfortunately they didn't. Against Argentina they fought till the end and debatably could have equalized and again if there was more time, go to penalties and have a high chance of winning. Cape Verde gas been getting too much hate from people even tho not as much as most teams but people easily overlook how fast Cape Verde has adapted during the world cup and the pressure they even put on Argentina. Morocco did good Egypt did good but Cape Verde Over performed and outdid themselves with stupendously low expectations. The argument that the teams they went against were not at full power can be made but it's dusengenouse to how much they have done and it's the world cup you should be expected of the unexpected and if those big teams couldn't do that it's not at the fault of Cape Verde it's their poor planning. Cape Verde made us proud
