  1. Alexi asked, what do the English want. What many of us want is football but with no gimmicks or fake rubbish. That's what separates most of us from other people. It's about the game. Nothing else.

  2. The GOAT question is an… unanswerable one, I reckon, because it’s… flawed. I mean, how do you compare a legend who peaked in the 70s with one who was at his best in the mid/late 80s, and both with Messi or Cristiano who are still going strong today? Also, how do you compare guys like Messi and Cristiano who have been… blessed with a relatively injury-free career, with someone like the Brazilian Ronaldo, who did magic at his prime, but ended up having a career “lesser” than desired because of his horrendous injuries? And I’m not even going to the “scorers Vs midfielders Vs defenders Vs goalkeepers” sub-controversy… How do you call a A-Class winger “greater player” than an A-Class goalkeeper? Not even the number of titles won are hard evidence of someone’s “superiority” over someone else, because not even Maradona won the ‘86 World Cup on his own. Sure, it’s an interesting… let’s call it “debate”, but… I feel, all answers are wrong, because the question itself is profoundly flawed.

Cheers from Thessaloniki, Greece. I’ve been following you for some weeks now, after “discovering” your podcast here, on YouTube.

  3. Personality wise Cristiano and Ronaldo are similar, however, in terms of being the best at their sport, it has to be Messi for soccer, dude is just absolute magic.
