Anywhere else on the pitch and that’s a foul on Baleba. CHO literally stamps his foot/ankle into Baleba and because it’s in the Brighton box it’s now a foul on the defender and a penalty? You could see Jones take 2-3 steps after he blows the whistle before pointing to the spot. These guys are just out here guessing 😂
I’m seeing the downfall of football. Referees have either too much power or not enough but they never use it right when it’s needed. Ducking throw the rule book out and make it conditional. Depending on the injury, kinda tackle and severity/intention. Don’t be like robots following everything like a strict command. Be fair not equal. As a ref interpret the rule how you seem fit but just be prepared to explain it afterwards. No accountability anymore is risky for the viewers experience. There’s either blatant corruption or unimaginable incompetence.
