At least one of the schools in the state wants to win…
Record 110 wins 101 loses. Not a great record.
56 year Michigan fan here. Very happy for Michigan State. You guys deserved way better than your last 2 coaches.
Brian Kelly a winning coach was out there. Yaaaaaa…… for another 4 years of mediocre with just hoping for a bowl game
All the good players either go to Ohio state or one of the Sunbelt teams
GOOD MOVE FOR MSU. !!!!!!
Wolverine here. I think this a great fit for MSU. Excellent at identifying raw talent and developing these types of under-recruited players. Challenge will be the transfer portal era which doesn’t really fit his ground up team-building philosophy. Sparty needs to be patient to make this hire a success, could take 3 recruiting cycles to payoff. If so, he will build a gritty, MSU traditional football program.
Will he be doing carwashes for a fund raiser?
Maybe he will bring his sexual hazing to Michigan State.
Good for him to many unanswered questions about the Nortwestern problem !
I hope he is a certified firefighter, cause hes walking into a dumpster fire
Northwestern admitted they were wrong and Pat Fitzgerald was cleared. I was hoping that Jay Bats the new AD, would hire Pat Fitzgerald. He would bring instant stability to the program.
WTF is Penn State doing? First to fire their coach, last to hire and all of the premier coaches gone. James Franklin is more sought after than many of the coaches hired and all of those who haven’t been yet… this totally reminds me of Nebraska and Frank Solich in the 90s when 9-10 wins wasn’t good enough and they haven’t been relevant since. Penn State’s reputation was as an institution that protects pedophiles until just a few years ago and was within two games of the natty last year but somehow they are going to find someone better to come to a fan base this delusional. Joe Pa won TWO championships in like half a century and you all act like he didn’t have countless 6-7 loss seasons. Can’t wait for the decade of mediocrity.
Ttun now has a in state problem.I hope he smokes the wolverqueens every year.Cheers to you coach fitzgerald !
Poor guy, I liked him but will have to hate him if he takes the sparty job booooooo
I wish Michigan could see that Sherrone Moore just doesn’t have it. People laugh at msu for this hire but I’ve always thought pat fitzgerald is a good coach.
Northwestern was stupid to fire Fitzgerald, good for Michigan State!
There were no questions about him as a Leader. The university released a statement essentially exonerating him of any wrongdoing.
someone better alert LSU that Kiffin caught wind of an open coaching position!
Don't matter with the sanctions recruiting is going to be tough for the first couple seasons going to have to give him time not 2 seasons like smith it will take fits 3 4 seasons and Michigan state could be a middle tear big 10 team like northwestern ounce was under fits
Okay what is wrong with that guy's eyes
A great hire. He was really the best coach Northwestern had in years. He will bring MSU back to relevance. He should never have been fired. And he proved it in court.
Dude dodged those allegations hard. 90% sure he knew, do not like the hire at all
Big Eighteen.
As usual, cbs talking about all the wrong things
This guy was so wrongly terminated by Northwestern. It's good to see him get another chance
Revolving door. Portal system gambling ticket prices theater football has taken over. Fans are only interested in their bets. Naive to think otherwise
That’s a god hire – as long as Fitz doesn’t bring along the hazing crap
