Harry Kane's in a sticky situation here, he can't really do anything. When Grealish signed his Aston Villa contract a few years ago, I remember saying that he'd shot himself in the foot and would be forced to live out his best years at Villa, similar to Zaha at Crystal Palace who really wanted to leave at the time. What I hadn't realised was that Grealish had a £100 million release clause in that contract, which was obviously triggered by City. That was a very smart move from Grealish and his agent to put that clause in, Kane should've done the same

Or could the club stitched him up, relying on his Professionalism to put him on the back foot and dent his pride? But I don’t know how that would benefit the club? Ie transfer value; but might if it cause him to stay for two more years until his chances to be huge and win trophy’s have gone; with clubs now only buying young so they have transfer value when / if they sell. No club/massive business to make massive money; buys the best to win trophy’s (forgetting Man City and PSG as their plans for money relies on trophy’s for their business around the clubs) anymore they buy to make money ie champions league and 4th place; anyone who thinks different is swallowing the lie the club dangle in front of you wallet.. see Arsenal and the ‘Ten Year plan’ in their trophy cabinet.. ‘we are paying off the stadium, because that will allow us to match other clubs and bring in the best players on equal money and fees as any other club in the world! Ten years was up years ago; whats their wage structure / limit and transfer fee record, how many times have they broke it and when was the last time they did? With all that money from the stadium brings for the highest cost to fans in the league? And Tottenham have a far far better one that people prefer to use than the already out of date Arsenal one?
