I don't understand the confusion. MLS handball rules clearly state:
1) it IS a handball if a ball hits the arm of any St. Louis player, no matter the context.
2) it is NOT a handball if a ball hits the arm of any St. Louis opponent, no matter the context.
remember when a handball was a handball. no psychoanalysis needed. no interpretation needed.
Heaven forbid if Laryea does what Bouanga does. No PK for Laryea. PK for Bouanga.
This guy is full of it. Plan and simple.
nycfc fans in the mud after all the whining about their loss lmao
3 goals disallowed in the Red Bulls game and no mention at all???
Can we get some honest assessment instead of someone whose job it is to justify the ridiculous on-field decisions we're seeing each week?
three goals were stripped from the redbulls and not one of them covered on here?!?!
Both Durkin and Dallas were trying to prevent and block a cross, what am I missing, how’s that completely different..?
The issue I have with the Benteke call that makes it different is the context. A lot of handball calls are in close quarters, with little time to react to the ball. In this case however, it's a lofted cross that he has plenty of time to orient his body to prepare for. He is not being challenged for the ball at all and has ample opportunity to not hit it with his hand, so if there's any contact to the hand it should be considered to be an unnatural position in my opinion
If these were close enough to warrant your analysis – they were close enought to go to monitor. Both the handball and the "Orange" card didn't which gives the fans, if nothing else, a sense of unfairness. It's become a theme with StL games that we will NEVER get the benefit of the doubt but the team we play will. That said – I disagree with all three of the StL reviews, that's not a pen because he hit the slightly backside of the shoulder, that's a handball because StL has been called for that same type of incidental, came off a valid body part first every single time it's possible, and straight leg cleats out into the leg is absolutely a red card "supposed intention" or not since that can't reliably be judged.
Why not show the penalty miami were denied?
I have found a way to quickly and accurately determine offside corner kicks
That is using AI to notify the line referee
Hows is that not shoulder to shoulder for st louis? Take some time to look at a diagram
No mention of the 3 goals disallowed at the RBNY v Nashville match?
Handball in the 18 solution:
Any hand ball in the box- give the opponent a one on one shot with the keeper on the 18yd line straight away from where the foul occured.
It would be basically proportionate to the danger of the hand ball, more middle, more dangerous, more outside, less.
No crashing. One shot. Saved/missed in anyway, goal kick. Goal is a goal.
Gives the keeper a more legitimate chance and stops reducing games to this ridiculous handball garbage.
ok good to know i never need to watch this program again.
The handball law isn't difficult, Weibe, you just can't make your mind up with the calls
Yellow all day for delay of restart😊
When did Andrew start considering that raised hands can still be considered natural positions? I have been saying this for year, although I think the play today was a handball all the way.
Denis “the Dive” Boanga. Winning the Golden Boot, one gimme at a time.
