MISSING THE POINT: what makes Bernardo Silva great is that he is incomparable. There are no players nowdays who can attack, defend, create, and operate on the wings as well as in the centre—both as a holding midfielder and an attacking one—with the same level of quality. You can only really compare him to players from the past, like Luis Enrique (yes, the current PSG manager, who played right-back, defensive midfield, winger, and even striker), or Ruud Gullit and a group of former Dutch players from the Netherlands clockwork orange team.

there have been certain players in city's history that have made the difference between mediocrity and something very ,very special,The first one was Billy Meradith,who was am force in the city team that won the 1904 FA cup.and he was acknowledged as the first footballing superstar in English football,the next one was Peter Docherty who many consider him as the best footballer ever to play for my club and was the main reason City won their first top flight title in 1937.the we move into my era in the 1960s.City got promoted in 1966 and their first season was one of survival,the second season started reasonably well,but they still were well short of being classed as a team that could impact the division,then in October 1967 a certain Francis Lee arrived from Bolton and the transformation began.Lee was the the final piece in the jig saw,along with Mike Summerbee's change to centre forward.Lee changed the mentality of the team with his self confidence,bordering on arrogance,he made the team believe in itself,and the best period in the club's history followed.and i was lucky enough to see it and the effect that Lee had.Then we have the takeover which saw many special players come in,but for me the most important proved to be David Silva,who knitted it all together,allowing other players like KDB and YaYa to express themselves.I believe our golden era would not have happened without David Silva.Bernardo has been fantastic for us,and will always be remembered by the city fan base as a very special player who gave his all for the cause.For me the debate as to which one was better for city isn't really in question,it's David Silva all day long as he was the building block for a team that has dominated English football.
David Silva was an absolute joy to watch. Bernardo Silva would barely play if he wasn’t allowed to get away with clear yellow card fouls in every game. Him and Reflon Rodri don’t even get cards for their birthdays.
