I’m gonna add something on to that, first place in the champions play off qualifies for the champions league while 2nd place needs to go through the qualifiers for that, 3rd place goes to the Europa league qualifiers Places 7 to 12 go into the conference play offs, I’m pretty sure the winner and 2nd place go to the conference league And then the last 4 play for relegation, the winner of those 4 stays, 2nd goes into a play off for relegation, while 3rd and 4th are relegated
It's actually absolutely needless and over complicated. What sort of product are they trying to deliver, people watch sports more for the entertainment of it, not to enjoy tricky points reward system.
No I don't see this happening. It will just cause chaos from the fans. Like if a team tops the league and bottles it in the playoffs, all the fans of the team will cause so much chaos.
In hovkey in slovakia we have 18 teams and top 8 go to play offs first to 4 wins 1st wirh 8th 2nd eith 7nd and like that so 3rd with 6th and 4th eith 5th and whoever eind goes to next round so only 4 teams let s say all 4 best wen t theiugh so 1234 1 plays 4 and 2 plays 3 so if 4 and 2 ein they go ti finals they play a max of 7 games since it is first to 4 wins
I found this out in my Anderlecht career mode. I took over halfway through a season and I thought I was well out of it. Untill I found out I finished 4th it split and thought oh wait I still have a chance. I didn’t win it, but those 6 games had you really fighting. Throughly enjoyed it. 😊

The bad thing about this league system is the number 1 in the regular league was up by 4 points but now that its halfed there only up by 2 points
