This Wednesday was Pablo Torre’s first day in blaugrana as he signed his contract with FC Barcelona and got to wear his new shirt in the Camp Nou for the first time. He has signed a contract until 30 June 2026, with a buyout clause of 100 million euros.

He put pen to paper in the company of president Joan Laporta, vice-president for sport Rafael Yuste, director of football Mateu Alemany, the president of Barça B Jordi Casals, the director responsible for youth football Joan Soler and the director of youth football José Ramon Alexanko. Pablo Torre was also joined by his agent Arturo Canales and various members of his family, including his parents, who wanted to be there for such a special day.

After signing, Torre (who has also signed up as a Barça member) got kitted out in the Barça uniform and enjoyed his traditional first touches of the ball on the Camp Nou pitch.

“Delighted to be here”
Speaking to the club’s media, Torre spoke about how “happy and delighted” he is to have joined the Barça family. “Iniesta and Xavi were my boyhood heroes” he said. “I promise to give everything for this team.”

Great season including promotion
Pablo Torre was born in Soto de la Marina on 3 April 2003 (19 years), and joined the youth system at Racing Santander in 2015. He made his first team debut at that club on 18 October 2020 in a league fixture against Portugalete. Last season he played 34 games and was a key reason for the team’s promotion to the second division. Pablo Torre scored ten goals in the Primera RFEF (group 1) and gave 11 assists in the regular season and playoffs and the Copa RFEF.

The new Barça signing is also part of the Spain U19 team. A right-sided attacking midfielder he is exceptionally skilled and excels at making goal passes. Pablo Torre also breaks through on goal very easily, as shown by his impressive scoring rate.

    Such a fascist and political club. Their hypocrisy is unbelievable. They hate everything Spanish despite the fact that they are Spanish whether they like it or not. The irony of hating everyone who’s not catalán yet here they are going outside of Cataluña to sign a new player. 🤦🏻‍♂️

    Desde el día en que Marsche bajó al central. El Barça está dando muestras de bajar.

    Estamos deseando comprar a W.Saliba, G.Magalhaes, S.Tonali, Bastoni, Lucas, Theo Hernández, Gleison Bremer Silva … para aumentar la fuerza del FC BARCA.

    Selling Abde for 8mil? , and when he becomes great they would now buy him back for 80mil, can Barcelona are very stupid, they are giving out great young talent for nickels and buying and putting their hopes in old meats which have a few years to offers. Economic issues doesn't make you stupid, abde is far better than depay. How 30yrs plus players do we have in our team. Barcelona has become a retirement team like those Chinese teams or MLS teams we're players come to retire
