It's not about how old the league is, after all most American kids weren't growing up with a football at their feet the way most Europeans/South Americans have. Historically the talent that comes from the BPL was there before the league existed. This wasn't the case in North America.
The MLS is still in its infancy stages and USMNT is growing stronger every year. I'm not American but they will probably be a legitimate force in football within a decade.
Kreis needs a bit more respect for someone like Beckham, look at those guys pushing him. Idiots !
You understand in the old days of American Football you could not pass right? You could only hold onto the ball and run with your LEGS. By the 1920s we already had a sport called Football in our country, so we called it soccer, a "slang" word created by the Association Football reps. Now, I understand that most of you Brits love to come and talk down to Americans and talk like you're right, but feel free to do some research before you blow smoke out your ass. Look up the definition of prejudice.

I use both terms interchangeably, depending on who I'm talking to. Of course, I call it soccer, because the NFL is so big over here, but I like soccer more than the NFL as the NFL has become too ghetto

To everyone arguing about whether it's soccer or football. In Italy,its Calcio but they say futbol sometimes. Spanish speaking countries use Futbol. The real word is balonpie..which translates to FOOTBALL. In Portugal and Brazil(obviously) its called Futebol. In Germany its Fussball. Americans get this straight. Its only Americans and Australians that call it "Soccer".
