Barca won't be good until a few years from now when the rebuild they are growing through at the moment is finished. The Xavi, Puyol, and Inesta years also took a few years to actually solidify, and become a Champions League winning team. I think people give the MSN too much credit, yeah they banged in a lot of goals, but when Xavi and Inesta clocked out, the best they could get in the UCL was the round of 8. These types of rebuilds take time, especially in a team like Barca that has talented young players like Pedri, to become masters at the game.

Barcelona went away from player development at la masia they tried playing Madrid’s game of buying big name players and in the long run they lost. Xavi will be a convenient scapegoat he should be training the kids at la masia not the first team. This is going to take time to right the horrible situation at the club not just the team. I can totally see Barcelona struggle to right this but it will definitely be a few seasons of massive disappointment. There are no guarantees Barcelona will ever be as good or as competitive as it once was the players body language dose not inspire confidence they all have a look of defeat as the step in to the game.
