  1. Atlanta doing business. 15milion for potential world beater , but when big club trying to get him atlanta will sold for profit triple of the fee they pay. Atlanta know.

  2. Just watched his highlights at Independiente. Immdeitely reminded me of David Accam (odd man out at my Chicago Fire/going to miss him). Coming from a respected first division in Argentina, but not the level of Bundesliga, Premier League and Serie A. Outside of Boca Juniors and sometimes River Plate, who's notable? The good thing about this signing is he's young versus an older well known name from Premier League. WIth MLS coaching he could go backwards. Accam improved last year because of who he was surrounded by. They taught him not to be out of control. This youngster is speed when trying to dribble, but not under control. If these other clubs from other leagues wanted him, why not take that challenge. The young talent (homegrown no less) MLS teams should be breaking the bank for is honing his skills over in the Bundesliga and shining. Don't need to say his name. He's from Pennsylvania.

  3. dang then it's either MLS champs or bust….they set the bar so high last season and doing this all these signings…heck yeah….definetly going to go to more home games now…

  4. Why do people not realize that Barco made this decision because he himself knows that if he goes to a top team in Europe he will either A. be used as a bench warmer or B. instantly loaned out. He came here because he knows that he will get game time and develop his career.

  5. Now his career is over, nice fucking decision Barco. Could have gone to clubs like Ajax, Lyon, Dortmund but chooses fucking Atlanta United, he is a the new Einstein

  6. So Atlanta spends $15 million on an 18 year old and would need to sell him on for $19.5 million just to make their money back with the 30% sell on fee. Atlanta is putting a lot of money into the hype and hoping it pans out fiscally. This is a smaller scale business flip, the way Dortmund does this, but Dortmund has the infrastructure to insure the development goes the way its planed. That aside, they're going to be miserable defensively and are going to struggle a lot against organized defenses who put numbers behind the ball and just maintain a lot of possession. They'll score a lot, concede a lot, and ultimately fizzle out in the playoffs once they face a TFC or NYCFC.

  7. This is what all MLS teams need to do. Pay young stars from south america or wherever from around the world. No more overpaid old players that won't do shit. Well done Atlanta.
