The defence definitely deserve better praise. Offside traps been incredible and the high line is what makes this team so suffocating to play against . Yes they can be exploited from this but they've got 3 titles from this system

Flick literally said they will make defensive improvements in the off-season. He said they didnt have as much time for defensive game plans this season as they were playing so many games. Im sure there will be some adjustments specifically for game management.

I think what gets missed about the high line is – injuries take far more of a toll on it than most other systems… Simply because timing is everything. I think if u look back, the period when we had our gala back line, casado and pedri, we weren't shipping goals. Against Bayern. Against Madrid in the first Clasico. It's when the injuries started in that back line AND we lost casado is when the goals started going in. As good as FDJ is, for this to work, u need a highly athletic mid in there atleast in the firsr half of games to back up and sure up the defence. And ofcourse u miss the ball carrying ability of FDJ when he isn't playing but with Bernal coming back, u probably have a scenario where u have the best of both worlds. I don't think it's the system. I think it's the personnel. Or the lack there of. Key positions in the system – i.e the fullback position, the drop off is substantial & that's a major contributing factor in the goals conceded. Hope that gets looked at in the summer!

Inigo, Cubarsi Kounde Balde, Frenkie, Ferran, Casado (1st half of season), Fermin have all been incredibly important.
Not showing Pedri in the thumbnail is just utter didrespect n just shows how underrated Pedri is. He is literally Barca's engine from that midfield n makes the team tick. Without him even the likes of Yamin n Raphinha wouldnt shine that much. The best midfielder in the world without a doubt.
