    « One of the best », haha. The Phenomenon, Ronaldo, by then, at such a young age, was already the best striker in history… Ronaldo pre injuries, in his teenage years, is probably the best footballer Humanity has ever witnessed. A once in a lifetime player. He was simply phenomenal.

    Still wish Liverpool had come back in the semis – that team v Barcelona might not have won but it’s one of the great lost European finals

    Wish we could go back to the time when only the league champions in every country qualified for the Champions League, and the European cup winners cup was still around. Then you would have 3 tournaments filled with great teams instead of one with all the big teams. And 2 others with good to average teams. Maybe not this year, but the Europa League final is usually made up of the teams that weren't good enough to progress through the Champions League group stage.
