Messi is still better than half of those 30. Let’s be real. He is certainly not the genius monster, unbelievably outstanding. But he was So good, that all of these nominees will never be close to him in their whole career. Still, he is a great player now, just not an alien anymore. So he should absolutely be in that list of the 30 great. Some of the players that were nominated are not even close to what Messi is today. Of course he was not going to win it, but he should have been nominated. The problem here are the French people (entities that nominate). They have such an enormous resentment against Messi and Argentina, that they decided to keep him out of the list. It doesn’t matter he went to the MLS if he won Copa America. He won one of the most important International Competitions. It is so obvious, that France should be punished. They did the same in the Olympics. They behaved like cr@p.
