That's what people don't understand about the MLS is the travel. Thierry Henry, Drogba and many greats said it before. The travel will take a toll on you. It's why many players from Europe have struggled in MLS.

He forgets that when Argentina plays the FIFA qualifier, they fly through South America. Average flight is 5 hours, you go to places hot and humid like Equador and as high as La Paz in Bolivia with bad grass, broken stadiums and hostile fans. Trust me, after playing in South America the MLS is like a vacation.

This is why players like Best, Eusebio and Maradona will always be a cut above. They had to play against Leeds type defenders and Italian leg chopping defenses. Todays defenders can’t even get touch tight and if they do you flop and they get carded. Oh I had to show up to the chartered flight in my seven figured car and spend the night in a W hotel then they fed me like a king. What a ‘mare I can’t believe they expected me to play football in these conditions.

Latam, 3 day travel to play in brasil, one game 40 celsius at nigth with 80% humidity, then a game at 10 celsius at 4000 meters above sea level..so not an issue for latin anerican players 😂
