This was a really weird match. Even city weren't playing at their usual form. Both teams made a lot of mistakes. It should have probably ended with a draw but seems luck was more on city's side with the penalty because of ridigers mistake.

Frankly, both teams had multiple opportunities to put the game away but didn’t. Madrid largely due to wasteful finishes in the final third and for City, Courtois being super human (barring the first goal obviously)

Honestly this loss wasn’t too bad. I thought man city would batter us 5-0 and it would be utter humiliation but it seemed pretty fine honestly. It’s Vini’s fault for missing a big chance. Same as Bellingol. Don’t know why he chipped the ball so close to the goal instead of just passing it to Gonzalo or taking a shot. We were playing decent but if we played the way we played the last 10 minutes we could’ve scored like 3 Atleast. Madrid were giving city some serious problems the last 10 minutes. Madrid started off great. Man city grew into the game a bit and ended up getting the result they wanted. Maybe they’ll end up playing each other again, both with their full squads.

Finally someone mentions the injury list!!! When Barca had injuries a few seasons back they went 13 points behind. When Liverpool had defenders injured they finished 4th and when city loses Rodri they start playing like boys.
