Austin FC seems like they only want to score by heading it in. Their play is so predictable. There was never a cross on the ground, or an accurate pass to a forward in the final third. 😢

Let's go, our first win of the season!! Loved the nice little flick of the foot from Rafa to score the only goal of the match, I think we're in for another great season from him. Defense was better – Rosenberry is playing really well, and I always love a clean sheet from Steffen. Lastly, all I've got to say about VAR is the ball does not lie, Austin. Off to San Jose with another win in sight! Go Rapids❤💙💚

THE REFF SUCKED
Austin FC had plenty of close calls, but they lacked the fluidity/chemistry that Colorado displayed. I noticed they got a little flustered whenever they reached the goal box. Still, Obrian and Bukari showed impressive skill 💚

3 things i noticed with Austin Fc at their game tonight.
1.) They are playing way too predictable. They need to switch the ball more ofteb or find better movement within the center of the field.
2.) The intensity or urgency was not there when the ball was near players. Especially when there were defensive plays made in the middle of the field or towards our own goal.
3.) The offense needs to sharpen up their touches near the Opponents box. 2/3 purposeful touches when you’re in that area instead of the same style of play the entire game.
I hope next one goes better. And the players get some solid study time with game footage from this game.
There's going to be a lot of complaining from the Austin fans after two PK's got taken back after VAR. People won't bring up that Cole Bassett's jersey was grabbed right when the Rapids were about to get a dangerous opportunity and there was no call. For player of the match, I'm going to go with Keegan Rosenberry. When talking about who stepped up, it's easy to point to the goal scorer(s), but you gotta realize when a defender comes through in a big way when things were getting promising for the opponent. Keegan did that several times tonight.
Legend has it that guy is still clapping his hands.
