Atleti, Atleti, Atleti… As an Atleti fan sometimes it's really really frustrating to watch them to play. Before going to the penalty decision that ruined the game I want to say that it's Atleti's own fault that they lost, they wasted way too many chances. They had the chance to make the score at least 3 before Lille's goal but they wasted all of them. What the hell was Sorloth doing with all those chances and 1v1??! Did he smoke something before the game because it seemed like it. We were laughing at his first shot at goal 😂😂, what the hell was that?! I always say that no matter how good you are if you don't use your chances it will get to you and that's what happened to Atleti. Now for the pen decision, now we know that it might've been crowded and hard for the ref to see what happened but the VAR team could've done a lot better job assisting him about the situation and not only they didn't the ref didn't bothered to go and check the whole thing himself. Instead he takes the time to go and give Simeone a card and still didn't bothered to check the VAR. And for those who say that Koke kicked the leg of the Lille player it was the player's handball from the beginning so no it wasn't a foul. Still the loss is mostly if not all on Atleti themselves. I don't see them winning anything until they have consistency

Wow extremely poor display from Sorloth. The team selection and tactics also remain questionable. It's time for a complete coaching overhaul. Atleti's renowned defensive unit also looks incredibly weak this year. I cannot overstate how lost Witsel looks as a CB in these big games.
