  1. Longford have how many players from ATAFC last years bottom of the league team. Seriously what is anyone expecting. Losers mentality. Year in year out bottom of the table. If I’m Jim Hanley I would roll the dice once more and bring in a manager that actually WANTS to be there and bring the community closer and go all out as LONGFORD TOWN FC. not DUBLIN TOWN.

  2. Longford board are making a mockery of real top quality managers and coaches I know who have applied, shown an interest in the club and they always play a blind eye to even trying to do right by the football club. What they do and how they behave to people who HAVE done it in the game is not acceptable. Said it many times when the 3rd division has relegation they are in trouble and it’s then too late. Get Groves out. 1 win in 10 this year. Win % in 3 years is what 15%. I know plenty of quality manager who will do a sight better job and would give everything for the club, bring the community together, give the town something to be proud about. Only if they (the board, you know who you are) give people a chance that can and wants to do the job. It’s a prime example of who you know and NOT what you know at Longford Town it’s been like it for years. And stop paying St Francis 25k to use the facilities your LONGFORD TOWN use your own.

  3. What are Longford building towards? Their best players will just move to st francis. No local connection or local players. train in dublin. looked very poor on these highlights tonight. would be great to see a new hungry young professional management team that will turn the club around for the benefit of the longford fans. everyone makes mistakes, tensions get highbut its time to move forward stronger together.
