That was not a penalty for Aston Villa. Their player had the opportunity to play the ball. He got hit after he played the ball not before it. The book also says that if there was no way the player could score then it is not a penalty!
Book also says that "if there was not way the player can score"! then it is not a penalty!
I am a Villa fan, and I am glad they got a draw. They should have most likely lost. I could not see why Villa got a penalty kick. I saw nothing wrong at all. I will take it, but to me it looked fine, and play on, but that being said, I will accept any decision that favors my team, ie Billa.
Whatever that call is it should stay. If he’d called a pk initially so be it. But I can’t wrap my head around seeing it reversed on film (Leeds fan here).. also yellow for Martinez for watching the screen and not listening to the refs
Please dedicate less time to the VAR decisions – we would rather see the players playing!!
