Arsenal vs. Rapid Wien: Extended Highlights | UCL on CBS Sports

Arsenal used a three goal first half en route to a 4-1 win over Rapid Wien in Group B action.
Arsenal opened the scoring in the 10’ when Lacazette scored a stunner. From there Pablo Mari doubled the lead in the 18’ and Nketiah added one more in the 44’. Rapid Wien seemed to have found something on offense after Kitagawa scored in the 47’ right out of the half, but that would end up being all they could muster. Arsenal would tack on a goal from Smith Rowe in the 66’ to secure the big win.

Arsenal picked up a huge three points and continued their dominance through group B as they sit atop the group with 15 points and are the only team in Group B with a positive goal differential.

  1. Pepe needs to play on the left so he can drive defenders to the touch line. He never does that on the right because he can't cut or cross with his right foot. Put him on the left.

  2. The only problem with Arsenal now is that we don't move the ball fast enough, and thereby allow opponents defences to reorganize. When we up our tempo, we score goals – SIMPLE. Look at the goals scored last night. Apart from Mari's header from a corner kick, all the rest were due to fast movement of the ball to create panic in the opponent's defence lines. Arteta should stop the lazy, slow, lackadaisical play and ask the players to raise the speed of their game. Problem solved.

  3. Fans are integral part of football. Like the saying goes, they're the 12th man in a team. For the first time in history of EPL football, there have been more away wins in EPL than home wins and it is happening at a high rate, and this shows true goodness of a team. Good moves to allow fans!

  4. We should be wearing our Home jerseys no matter what… let the other team deal with it… get them different shorts, play skins, dont care, why are we the ones to change the Jersey???

  5. Pepe has to be tried to be deployed on the LW he seem to be playing well playing with others and crossing rather than on the RW where he delays play and can’t cross the ball
