It's games like this that convince me arsenal will not win the premier League or even make it to the champions League final. Their defense is absolutely atrocious. This should have been a walk in the park. And they almost end up tying. Really sad

it is almost like arteta has them play and use him slightly differently when playing in europe vs the premier league. and if so, that is probably a deliberate choice. both because he knows Gyökeres would be more effective against the european defenses in comparison to the premier league ones, and so that when their opponents look at footage of arsenal’s games, how they play in europe would be slightly differently than in the prem. and it’s not like he changes everything- just tweaks one thing with how they use their striker and that’s it
The two most recent Goals Gyokeres has scored is how he has to be fed. He is not a tap in striker like Haaland. Even Merino is better at that. Gyokeres can only be released onto space. The issue with that is when they do try it he gets beat on pace by Premier League defenders. It seems to be easy for him against anyone else.

arsenal played so open and aggressive in the first half. Havertz played the through ball to Gyokeres in the first 2 minutes…we've been begging Odegard to do that all year. The minute #8 goes in, open play is gone and set pieces become a requirement. BENCH #8

Omg, I do understand we played small team, but give me Havert, Norgard over Odegard and Saka. Gyokeres played his best game in Arsenal Jersey. He looked like a proper Striker in this match. I think this was our best game since that buyern game. those give and go passes was magical in that 1st half.
This was an awful result… Should've scored 6 at the minimum but once again the same problems. Not only conceding 2 against the worse side in the competition but lack of final decision making and that is going to keep costing us in the premier league and later stages of this competition.
The core problem of Arsenal FC , is Odegard and playing Backpass and that corner play and go back to raya!! this 45 Minute play just gave us the verdict!!! Now we sored 3 goals infirst half and we coniceided a goal on second half . That is how we loose points Man
