Stupid title. Stupid narrative. This Liverpool match wasn't as important as the hype. Truth is Liverpool are no longer title rivals.
We didn't 'lose the chance for a 8 point lead'.
Wrong narrative. Judge by THE LAST THREE GAMES.
City – our title rival – got just 3 points out of last 9 available; we got SEVEN!
So let's not be myopic – we have EXTENDED our lead in the title race over the last 3 games to a very healthy SIX.
Yeah we played badly, yeah it's disappointing. But after NINE wins on the bounce we can have one bloody draw.
We're sitting top and sitting pretty.
The narrative behind us is mad. We gained a point. Yesterday every rival had the same result. Mind you, we played liverpool, not brigton, or whoever villa played. Arsenal is rent free in heads.
Arsenal didn't deserve to win coz the front three players …Saka,Victor and Leo totally disappeared and stopped being a threat at the start of the 2nd half. Liverpool sensed that and took a lot of confidence from it. Also Hincappie being subbed made Arsenal even more cautious coz Frimpong had a good game.
Liverpool had no soot on target? I though Darwin Nuñez era had ended
Salty chelsea fan who got sacked by sky sports give it a rest
Suffocated? Haha Arsenal had a descent 1st half be real guy
Suffocated Liverpool? They were the closest to scoring. How that ball stayed out of the goal is beyond me. Arsenal had the possession in the first half but there was absolutely no intensity. A few good crosses but no one in front of the goal to tap it in. I've mentioned before where Arsenal had moments like this, where it is a game that could make it or break for them in the title race, and they come out flat, overly cautious, not with a champions heart or desire to win and take a commanding lead at the top. Two seasons ago they were satisfied with a draw against City and despite being in the lead for the title, we all know how that ended. There was a similar game last season with I think another draw. And again, they came up short at the end. They just do not seem to want to take command. They're content with things as they are. And so I feel I can now make a prediction of my own. I think Aston Villa will win the Premier League this season. City just don't defend and drop too many points needlessly and Arsenal just don't have the killer instinct to see it through to the end. I think they will choke and the end draws closer. I support both Arsenal and City (Martin and Erling) but I don't see either of them coming away with any Premier League silverware this season. But a World Cup would be a nice surprise!!!
Literally gained a point
