  1. English media is pretty bad, everyone can see its not the individual players. When you watch these games, do you really have the feeling Liverpool is playing well but then Salah is not hitting the goal?

  2. Good thing I rewatched this a second time. The first time I heard it, felt like he said all 4 of them to be on the bench and I was about to say "So best decision to make is put all attacking players on the bench?"

He can be right about Chiesa and Ekitike to start some games too. For instance, Slot has to prepare Chiesa to replace Salah in 1 or 2 seasons, unless another player is selected for this. It might be hard and sound cruel when Salah helped Liverpool for many years now, but in football, when a player reaches many years that helped you, it means that soon they will become too old to still remain as the main man of that position and turned more as a player that can still play crucial hard matches, but rested much more often then previous years because of physics reality on body recovery being slower after 30 or 33.

And currently, Salah with Isak are downperforming and out of form. The main reason could be that they need to be rested a bit to gain back their fresh mentality as both played a massive number of matches in the last 12 months. Give them like 2 or 3 games to rest, while Chiesa and Ekitike getting their opportunity in those 2-3 matches from starting eleven. Salah and Isak can still enter in those games from the bench or so. It give them the necessary rest and also proves them that their first 11 spot is not guaranteed with just quality, no matter the form.

  3. Really don’t need an American to tell me how to win football matches… it’s not as simple as putting salah on the bench – the whole system needs to change.

  4. Ok I got it but salah on the bench is funny as a Man U fan who we got extremely lucky literally no Liverpool can make a shot last game he should be a starter every time.
