Cape Verde is much better than many African National Teams. They improved a lot. Even better than couple of Europeans in this WC. Definitely better than Asians or Australia.
Argentina has problems since the begining of the competition. Physical, injuries, couple of tactical bad decisions, etc.
But Cape Verde played better football than expected, not only on friday, but also in the group stage. Congrats.
In reality Cape Verde scored 3 goals, it’s just unfortunate that one was an OG! Most people expected the score to be about 10 nil with Messi scoring 9 and a half. 😂😂 But, the Blue Sharks 🦈 showed up to play. Their performance was excellent, hats off to them! Never give up!🇨🇻🌍

Good game but I really can’t fathom how it wasn’t a foul called in the 98 minute. Clear stomp on the foot and side of the knee without the slightest attempt to go for the ball and the ref just says continue playing. They got robbed, should have gone to penalties

Argentina did all they needed to do as defending champions it's just that Cape Verde are excellent. The Ant nearly swallowed the elephant.
Argentina looked complacent for the first 60 minutes, but once they realized they were facing a tough opponent, they fell into disarray. Struggling to respond, they made numerous poor passes, lost possession, and missed key chances. The goalkeeper was outstanding, and they barely scraped through. Moving forward, they need to apply pressure right from the start.
Spain got hell for drawing 0-0 against these heroes. Cape Verde gave the defending world champions a huge run for their money. Most Argentinian fans should (albeit unlikely) keep their mouths shut after mocking Spain for drawing, as well as Uruguay for not making out of the group stage. Other than Morocco, Cape Verde has proven to be the best African team in this World Cup.
