  1. Football is reaching broken point now. The players are human after all. More games they play the more chances of injuries. The quality of the game will go down

  2. more games = more tired players = more terrorist football. People doesn't realize this, it will impact the quality of the game.

  3. I dont think its the amount of games, its more the timing as well. The nations league is a tin pot tournament. It is a waste. Club football should be from September to may then on June or july play the world cup qualifiers of each year in the space of a month or so.

  4. People here in the comments are insane. YES they get paid a LOT but at the end of the day they are still human. Too many games = too many injuries = quality of football goes down which is bad for fans. It's a lose – lose for everyone.

  5. I no longer watch interntionals or cup games OTHER than Champions League. I have a life. Football isn't that good anymore to warrant that much of my time.

  6. Overworked and overpaid. Everyone in football (players, managers, agents, administrators) need to take a pretty significant pay cut, then we may start seeing less games.

  7. Totally disagree!! We are paying footballers a lot of money they are professional athletes

They are moaning about 2 games a week 😂

Rodri of Man City was moaning now he’s out for a year so I hope he’s enjoying that rest on the sofa 🛋

  8. It’s hilarious to me that in the 90’s early 00’s this was all part and parcel of the game, just goes to show that players are Fanny’s nowadays along with the youth that that think this era is never to be beaten!

  9. So does he want fewer games, a "less monetized" game? He's fine taking a huge paycut then, right?

Because all these games are paying your million dollar salaries

  10. I didn’t get what he wanted? Less games to play? But nothing changed, they used to play those seasons for years. Probably players getting more fragile/ prone to injuries?

  11. The global outreach of the sport is idiotic. For all of the reasons the player mentioned and more. What they need to do is collectively decide to save their money and really organize. But a lot of these guys ignore financial education and waste their money, leading them to be as dependent on that next paycheck as the average American. Nothing changed until they have savings to fall back on in event of a strike.

  12. Football has been broken for a while now my friend. Also, back in the day, it was a privilege to play in front of fans. Now my guy thinks that the players bring the fans… There is some truth in that depending on the player but players come and go.
