Isak looks like a signing LFC didn't need, and his lack of form and fitness considering his price tag is a problem LFC didn't need, but have created for themselves. The summer transfer strategy looks poor with the benefit of hindsight.
Ekitike took off his shirt after his goal against Southampton in EFL cup and was sent off with a match ban in EPL. I don’t think Slot is confused, he just has less faith in Ekitike’s judgements. I don’t think he has any doubt on his skill and compatibility with the team. Ekitike was self destructive so Isak got a chance. Media should stop stirring the pot.

EK, starts over Isak all day long. Good buy vs someone who's starting to look overrated. I think if Klopp was still there he could make Isak into a star, like he did with Mo Mane and Bobby. I just don't think Slot has that ability, but I am willing to be proved wrong.

I actually agree with O’Hara.. Isak has not looked fit since he started playing. Guy is constantly trying to catch his breath after a sprint. Now with this knock I doubt we will see anything like what he was at Newcastle until after Christmas, if he doesn’t get injured too seriously. Start Hugo and form a solid shape behind him
Here's a hot take: Both Salah & Gakpo should be dropped. Change the formation to 4-4-2 diamond. The fullbacks signed are literally designed to bomb forward and overlap without being too wingback-coded, so we should use them properly. Those 2 will provide width to stretch opposition defences, without Salah & Gakpo getting in their way. As for how to bring out the best in Wirtz & Isak, a lot of the procession of play has to go through Wirtz. With Salah on the pitch, Wirtz is always looking to pass to him, but Salah has been so wasteful with the ball, heck, ever since his contract extension back in Feb. Without Salah, Wirtz can focus on feeding the likes of Isak & Ekitike, while also creating spaces on the flanks to bring Frimpong & Kerkez in to take part in attacks. Wirtz has to become the main man going forward, just like how Xabi got him pulling all the strings.

Isak, Macca, Wirtz, and Salah were expected to be the big players of LFC this season but they are all out of form at the moment. That is why LFC is struggling. Thank God Wirtz is gradually warming himself into the team. I predict that by the beginning of the second part of the season, where all these players are firing up, LFC will be unplayable in the EPL and the UCL, similar to what we saw with PSG last season

I've heard that Isak has responded positively to rumours Newcastle are preparing an offer to take him back on a loan deal in January. Can't see it happening tbh and suspect isak's agent is spreading mischief to probe possible options.
Isak didn't have a preseason and Salah can bounce back for sure. If I'm Slot, I'm looking for any possible way to start Isak, Ekitike, and Salah. But I think all Liverpool fans agree, Chiesa deserves to start here and there and get more minutes in general.

Ekitike should fight for a place on the left with Gakpo. Rotate the two, because they both can play as left wingers or through the middle. Ensure Ngumoha gets minutes regularly, Chiesa, Frimpong at times and Salah should be helping each other out on the right. Bradley, Gomez and Frimpong if necessary fills out as RB. Watched Kerkez on several occasions as a Liverpool player and I believe Robertson should get back into the starting 11.
