Borussia Dortmund secured second place with a win over Eintracht Frankfurt, while Bayern Munich claimed another victory thanks to a narrow success at Wolfsburg. RB Leipzig edged St. Pauli to remain third, and Stuttgart boosted their Champions League hopes with an impressive win against Bayer Leverkusen, dropping Leverkusen out of the top four. Hoffenheim stayed firmly in the race for Champions League football with a vital win over Werder Bremen, moving level on points with Stuttgart heading into the final matchday, while Augsburg swept aside Gladbach. At the bottom, Hamburg secured a thrilling win over Freiburg, Heidenheim climbed out of the relegation zone after a massive victory at Köln, and Union Berlin came from behind to beat Mainz away from home. With one game to go, Wolfsburg, Heidenheim and St. Pauli are all level on 26 points in a dramatic fight to avoid the drop.
