  1. Funny that I have to post this on the official Premier League account, but….. the Premier League/Opta don't count that one inside the box vs Aston Villa. But he did score another one vs Stoke that has been missed in this video, so the correct number is still 12, you just included the wrong ones.

  2. Don’t know why the goal vs Porstmouth is so hyped. Wall didn’t even jump. The one vs Fulham (#2 on the list) is IMO better. His best knuckle FK is vs Atletico in 20112012 season, where the commentator said “Courtois bamboozled!” Yet no one even remembers this goal.

  3. Why is his 2nd free kick against stock city skipped in that game? And jump straight to blackburn which in reality should be 10 and not 9? It was'nt indirect and deflection or anything else free?

  4. It takes one to know one. Just remember what George Best himself said about Cristiano when he was still alive: "Cristiano Ronaldo’s first United game as a substitute in the season opener against Bolton was undoubtedly the most exciting debut performance I’ve ever seen. Over the years, there have been a few players described as ‘the new George Best,’ but this is the first time it’s truly been a compliment to me. Some players have had similarities, but this lad’s got more than anyone else, especially because he’s genuinely two-footed.

He can play on either wing, beat players with ease, and deliver dangerous crosses with both his left and right peg. When was the last time you saw that? With Ronaldo and Giggsy on the pitch together, opposition defenders will be petrified!

Another thing I liked about Ronaldo against Bolton was how he handled the physical side of the game. As soon as he came on, he was clattered from behind, but he just got up and carried on—it didn’t faze him at all. That’s the right attitude. I used to relish it when defenders tried to kick me up in the air—it only made me more determined to take the pss out of them!

He’s special—I could see that immediately. In the next few months, thousands of kids will be wearing ‘Ronaldo 7’ shirts and begging their parents to get their hair tinted like his."

    End of quote.

Yep – George simply knew and predicted it all! What’s even more fascinating is that Cristiano resembles Best not only in playing style, but also in his private life and emotionally.

Both were (or are) charismatic womanizers, though Cristiano now seems to have settled down with Georgina. Both are bold, colorful personalities who have always fascinated the media. And for both of them, this flamboyance was more of a mask—a way to shield themselves from constant public scrutiny. Beneath it all, there were (and are) vulnerable, warm-hearted individuals.

There are, however, two major differences.

First, Cristiano endured a far more traumatic childhood, growing up in poverty with an alcoholic, war veteran father. George, by contrast, didn’t live in poverty, and his parents were not alcoholics.

Second, while George certainly faced media attention in his time, he was fortunate to live in an era before social media and the obsessive 24/7 news cycle. He had more freedom, more privacy, and far less pressure. Cristiano, on the other hand, has his life and behavior scrutinized constantly, with every little detail analyzed daily.

Anyway, as a lifelong, old United fan, I miss this guy so much, even tho he returned to us not long ago, but welp, insufferable Ten Bald was there, and I simply miss the past era of football. I wish I had a time machine to go back to the time of this video!

  5. The number 1 greatest free kick EVER is def Cristiano's Arsenal free kick, sorry Roberto. Roberto's was 30 yards out, Cristiano's one vs Arsenal was 40 yards out. Nostalgia merchants can say whatever, but Cristiano is number 1. Btw, Roberto Carlos himself said just a few days ago, he considers Cristiano the greatest free kick taker. Not Messi, not anyone else, Cristiano. Google it.
