  1. Soccer and the offsides rule needs to be revamped, too much lazy defense staying up trying to draw offsides rather than playing defense.

  2. Oh how I used to love and admire our USWNT years ago. Sadly, the team has diminished to a horrible level compared to who they were. This little write-up is not to insult and bring our team down but to think back and bring the level of the performance up.
The game of soccer is not just about winning or losing. It is about master basic skills such as passing accuracy, shots on goal, improving personal skill levels, and so on. Watching the Mens' Euro 2020 or Copa America games just enforces my statements. As someone had stated below, Nigeria has improved compared to what they used to be. Well, my friends, sadly, the USWNT has gone down in many different ways. Their passing is absolutely pathetic. Ability to dribble is laughable and continuing to hold on to the ball for extended periods of time is non-existent.
I watched pretty much all the friendly games they played in the past few months and was completely disappointed in all their performances.
Vlatko Andonovski, the coach should understand my point of view. It is not just winning a game. It is always how well you perform. As much as I don't want to mention any individual names, the older players with great reputations are pretty pathetic, and should peacefully bow out now.
At the rate the team is functioning, it is only a matter of time when other teams start beating the US team consistently.
Mr. Andonovski, please have your team members watch men's teams like Italy, Gemany, Brasil, La Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga and so on. Let them compare the standards. Let them comprehend the differences in the levels. Let them learn how basic skills of soccer should be developed. Let them re-learn how to hold on to the ball while on the attack and end each play with with masterful shot on goal.
Well, once again, my apologies for offending anyone. My sole intention is to help bring back the old USWNT standards so we could all continue to love and watch some great US Women's Soccer again!

  3. Dam Lynn Williams always gets hated on …lol… I like her …not sure why everybody is so down on her ..it`s like people pile on …one person says something negative and everybody is like oh yeah Lynn is so n so …i hope she makes it n has a great olympics…make all the haters mad…

  4. Anyone notice the goalie on the penalty? She moved left telegraphing her jump before the shot was anywhere near completed. Jamaica needs a decent trainer.

  5. All teams competing against the USWNT, are potential threats. When you sit at the top with 4 CUPS, it just takes a team that has similar work ethic and talents that decide they want to beat you, and accomplish that goal. Portugal had that taste. However, they did not get to quinch that thirst. They are so good though.

  7. What credentials do they require their announcers have to get the job? How can anyone that actually knows ANYTHING about soccer and is actually paying attention not see that penalty and know that 1) it was a foul, 2) the referee blew her whistle for a foul, 3) the referee CLEARLY and IMMEDIATELY pointed to the penalty spot (you know, the official signal for a penalty kick).
This dumb announcer actually saying "what's the call? No call?" and then only after about 30 seconds does it dawn on him that "oh, it actually IS a penalty". No s**t Sherlock. We all figured it out within 2 seconds of the foul happening. Nice of you to finally catch up. Maybe pay attention to the game when you are calling it, since it is your job.
