Participation trophies, medals etc etc didn't exist 😂😂 Whatever it was that could be won you either won 1st place and that's it or you won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place that's it.
Now getting a medal for participating in a Marathon and finishing it or participating in a mountain climb and finishing it as a lot of that is for charity work etc etc that's absolutely fine, however rewarding children for just taking part in sports day or just turning up regularly for football practice etc etc is ridiculous.
What is the point of working hard to become the best of whatever you choose to do when just "turning up" is a reward
