  1. I don't get why the US media are treating this woman as a legend? She is basically the Babe Ruth of female soccer. Babe Ruth dominated baseball because black players were not allowed in the league and Abby Wambach dominated female soccer when the rest of the world didn't care so the professional less skilful US teams was beating down amateur teams around the world full of part-time players.

  2. Just a thought. The payment should be equal, an equal percent of the revenue that is produced. As of right now the NWSL, WNBA, etc. Are funded by donors and men's league. Rather than asking to be paid the same and blaming it on the fact that one team is guys and one is girls. Take gender out of the equation, it doesn't have anything to do with it. It's the money produced. If the women produce more money, they should be paid more. If the men produce more, they should be paid more. If they produce the same, they should be paid the same. Just funny to have the men's teams and organization fund women's sports. Then have ppl complain. Like where's the money gonna come to pay you an unfair percentage?

  3. Don’t love everything Wambach has said/done, but can’t argue she was a terrific player and is a US Soccer legend. Congratulations on the hall of fame and your goal-filled career.
