  1. Abby I'm 14 and I've played soccer for as long as I can remember and I have always looked up to you and I'm so happy and thankful that I'm able to have such an amazing role model. Soccer means so much to me and I'm incredibly thankful to look up to you knowing you were like me once and I just have to work extra hard like you did to get where I want to go. Thank you Abby I'll never forget you πŸ™‚

  2. I'm late, but Abby Wambach is so self less. she is such an amazing role model to not just athletes. she just appreciates so much out of other people. she an athlete that will never be forgotten because she never was a self absorbed player. she encourages everyone around her and helps them to achieve. thank you Abby.

  3. I'm so devastated she's retiring. But I know she's showed what she has, and it's time to retire. I am going to her game coming up on January 23rd. I hope she will play that game because I've never met her or her team. And I am very excited. I will not be meeting the team because I don't have VIP tickets or on field tickets, but I am so excited for the game! Btw this video made me so emotional, I started crying. Love you Abby!!❀️😘

  4. I can't believe she's retiring. Its the end of an era. Watching them play without her there is going to be so surreal! I wish her the very best and I hope one day she returns as coach of her beloved side!

  5. Abby and the whole USWNT (along with the Matildas), push me harder ever single day to reach for my dreams of putting on the green and gold for Australia

  6. Please retire, Abby. I know the second game against Costa Rica was a victory tour friendly, but seeing you slip on the turf twice and missing a header in close range was embarrassing. If you're not going to be playing in the NWSL, you might as well end your career before we risk losing some games because you're clearly not as sharp as the rest of the girls anymore.

  7. Attitude! Win or Lose, give it your all for yourself and your team. Winner every time! Thank You for your deep personal thoughts and inspiration!

  8. When I first bought your jersey and went all crazy about you to my friends and family, everyone asked me if I was gay…that is how unusual it is for one woman to worship another woman in a non-romantic way, I guess…I am a mother of 2 awesome girls, and I love the way they chant your name with me when we watch you play; I am so proud of the way they are growing up, loving and respecting other females. This should be a given, but it is not, unfortunately, and we, women, know this. We know how jealous we can be of each other, and how competitive we can get. But, seeing you guys play together, seeing you celebrate together and respecting each other, gives me so much joy. But, team aside, there is something incredibly special about you, Abby Wambach, I can't pin-point exactly what it is, but you are so loveable, it's insane. It must be your genuineness. If you only knew how you picked me up from the darkness of depression, gave me hope, you'd be even more proud of yourself than you already are. It's incredible how we can influence one another, without even knowing one another. I was hopeless, felt defeated as a female in my business, I was scared and lost, and then you came along and I saw a whole other side of strength that a woman can have. Thank you for that, and for everything. I love you, Abby. (ps – I went to see you in Montreal, playing against Germany, and there was a family with 2 little girls sitting in front of me, their mom showing them where you are at all times :). They were so happy, both had Wambach 20 on their backs. You already know how influential you are, so I'll just say thank you for being so nice.)

  9. She is a true class champion, open 2 the core. This legend will always inspire. Thank you Abby 4 giving soo much to soccer 4 the world!!

  10. Thank you for everything, Abby! You inspired a country, and so many women, men, and kids all over the world. Much love and respect.

  11. 4 years ago I was completely heartbroken when the USA lost to Japan. I came to the conclusion there was no better team at that time to lose to. Nadeshiko Japan played with everything to bring home a World Cup to their country when it had been devastated by a tsunami, I have great respect for Nadeshiko Japan. But this year I knew without a doubt Abby Wambach and the rest of USWNT would be holding that World Cup! #shebelieves Β  #1N1T

  12. You keep going Β " Chibolita "…….Abby is showing that she's a very mature lady…She reflects all her feelings and her humbleness and makes her great. She's in a stage where if she wants to keep going or became coach for children and transfer over all what she has learnt
