I'm not sure Bobby Warshaw has been actually watched the USMNT play under GB. "The system creates chances" – since when?!? Chance creation and goal scoring have been a significant weakness under GB when they've played against any decent side. And people get the impression that GB wants to play out of the back because that's what we've tried to do repeatedly under GB since he's been the coach. It's the reason for Steffen playing consistently. I really think Bobby gets caught more in the theoretical aspects of what the USMNT could or should look like under GB rather than what we actually look like, lol.
Listening to the BBC and reading English newspapers I think the big question is why not play a front 3 of of Aaronson, Weah and Pulisic?

imo, we are really missing brandon vazquez. he's extremely good as a target man, finishing on transition, and on set pieces. as we have seen through this world cup, the idea that mls players cannot compete is ridiculous, form is everything, and he'd of scored 3 goals already, imo. 😔
speaking of which…let's try jordan morris and josh sargant. jordan morris might not be quite as fast as he used to be pre-injuries, but he's still fast, and has unmatched heart, and i still remember how he stepped up in big situations to score winners in old-school european friendlies in holland and germany. 😎👍

I will be OK with any outcome as long as we come to play. Way too much hesitation in the final 1/3 so far. If we play with instinct and speed we can win soundly. If we pass back and forth with total possession in mind we are playing right into their hands. I wouldn't mind seeing Aaronson start up top, I think he is probably the most in-form player we have. Sargent and Wright were both decent, but hardly impactful. NOBODY can apply pressure like Aaronsen can over 90 minutes. He forces players into mistakes which is exactly what we need.
