  1. I'm no coach or anything but if you taught them how to jockey and not over commit to tackles they should have a better time stopping people from getting past.

    If you put 2 cones 10 metres apart as starting positions for a race and a cone in the middle. Have a finish line 10 metres away from the closest cone.

    The player that starts closest to the finish line has to run towards the cone in the middle then run back the way they came to get to the finish line. The player that starts furthest from the finish line just gets to run straight to the line. The drill kinda mimics players ingame putting pressure on the ball carrier and teaches them not to over commit because if they do they are gonna lose the race every time but idk you might need to explain that to the kids directly.

  2. Switching hip drill. Put 2 cones 12 yards a part. You with the ball dribble at the defender. Anytime the ball carrier switches directions the defender should switch his hips. That is the easiest way to teach basic fundamentals and they won't stab with that
