  1. This wasn't the America team that won… This America team sold their goalie Agustín Federico and mateus uribe to Oporto. Nico Castillo got injured. Edson alverez left to Ajax and oribe Peralta left to Chivas. Atlanta won fair and square but it would be better seeing the better version of America vs this altanta in Mexico and in Atlanta.

  2. Are MLS fans really forgetting that this isn't an oficial tournament. It's like a friendly game with a trophy at the end. The reign of Liga MX beating MLS teams in oficial finals didn't end.

  3. Ok, MLS, the objective is to be at the top of the CCL; make it happen, and then you'll get the most respect. Yes, this America-Atlanta game was a good result for the MLS, but, we need to keep pushing for a higher level.
The one thing that, I think, gives advantage to the Mexican league over the MLS is the timing of the CCL games; the Mexican league is already on the way, by 4 or 5 games, as oppose to the MLS who are on preparation games to start their new season. So, I think that something needs to be done regarding the calendar games of the CCL, so that all participants are already in good shape.
Congratulations to Atlanta for the win, from a Montreal Impact fan.

  4. It was a great night as ATL fan and an MLS fan. 2 trophies in 2 1/2 years, us cup is next and then we try to defend our MLS cup. Great job ATL UTD, and thanks for all the support around the league.

  5. when Atlanta united were celebrating, it gave me a lot of chills, btw I love you Atlanta united, and Josef Martinez! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ATLANTAAAAAAAA UNITED

  6. I’m really upset how no one is talking about how darlington Nagbe RAN that midfield and frustrated the mess out of the Club America CAMids. Dude was by far the best player last night.

  7. Look at the still shot of Martinez first pk. Look how close the yellows are to him in the box. And the keeper took a full step forward. Encroachment. Should of been a retake

  8. Man if you actually watched the game the ref was so bias and it showed carded the coach gave a red card for simple tackle. But MLS won but never dominated

  9. 2-Points:
1). Darlington Nagbe's ball-possession and intelligent-passing will never show-up on the score sheet. With his smooth demeanor, unselfishness and likability – I'd trust him to run my mid-field – Maybe even watch my kids for a few hours!
2). Something has happened to AUFC in the past 3-matches. They have MOJO! Did FDB and the lads have a heart-to-heart? Did they sing, 'Kum ba yah?' What ever it was, they have an attack and have put the 'FUN' back in AUFC.

  10. Yeah, yeah, you can be happy now with your little teams because you won against the best team of this federation.
Atlanta won the game just for luck and with the help of another penalty.
Congratulations to Atlanta because you were able to win the game when America put it there for you not like Houston Dynamo.
America really didn't lose anything, they don't really care much about mediocre Cups like this one.
