After scoring three first half goals against Real Madrid last week, Shakhtar Donetsk was unable to muster any real offensive threat against Inter Milan in the first half. Neither team would have another great opportunity and would finish in a tough 0-0 draw. Inter Milan had its opportunities and statistically dominated the game, outshooting Shakhtar 10 to 3 and out possessing Shakhtar 57 to 43. However Shakhtar’s defense held up when needed and Inter Milan could not take advantage of the opportunities and walk away with their second draw in group stage action.
