  1. Okay, as a European. I am very surprised how much hate now the US gets in football considering what they have done. Semi finals of Copa America defeating Argentina 3-0 convincingly and barely losing to Brazil? At this point I believe it's just an absolute bias against them.

  2. I mean it’s a great documentary, but if the documentary is called “Soccer’s American Dream”, how can you not even mention the women’s team once?

  3. man i still remember the '02 run. germany that year were ass. Had the US got that penalty, who knows what could've happened. It was a VERY even game

  4. 16:55 the 1998 World Cup did get me first interested in the English Premier League. Not MLS. In fall of 1998 many of the regional sports channels would run the Fox Sports NET weekly Premier League 2 hour highlight show and I got hooked there when I did want to follow more soccer post 1998 world cup

  5. 33:19 the US won 3-2, not 3-0 against Portugal. There are too many factual inconsistencies in this report.

Vice, this production by an American company about American soccer encompasses all that which is wrong about the American game.

  6. Crazy that 2002 was our peak as an international side. The best we've done at a WC since then is not get embarrassed (and even that's been far from guaranteed)

  7. Nice series, but stop lying about the results from the 2002 World Cup. The first game was 3-2 against Portugal, not 3-0. The second was a 1-1 draw against South Korea, and we lost the last group game 1-3 to Poland (you guys skipped straight to the round of 16 against Mexico).

  8. This series is great. Makes me want to attend the USA vs Paraguay game. Oh wait my bank account is telling me I can’t afford to take my family.

  9. It was 3-2 USA vs Portugal, not 3-0… what an error. And just glossing over USA vs Mexico for a few seconds?? A WC knockout win 2-0 against our arch rivals to get into the quarter finals is massive and deserving of full coverage and highlights!!

  10. Steamrolled Mexico in the round of 16 in 2002?? Not sure about that…there was also blatant handball in that game not called against the US. But they did play well against Germany….and yeah I get this is a USMNT doc so….checks out

  11. this is a good series but some things are missing. 1995 copa america usa lost a match to bolivia in regular phase.match with mexico was tied to zero and won in penalties. for 3rd place usa lost 3 to 1 to colombia.
