I noticed the Real Sociedad keeper dove to his right every single time in the shootout. He clearly decided, “I’m not going to overthink every penalty. I’ll commit to one side and trust that eventually someone will put it there.” In the end, that decision paid off and won them the game. What’s crazy is that the Atletico Madrid players never seemed to catch on to what he was doing.
