  1. If you have an orange card situation in the 6' do yourself and the game a favor and make it yellow with a strong talking to and keep him on a tight leash the rest of the game (and its completely likely that a defender on a yellow for 84 minutes could result in a send off well before the end of the game). A red that early of questionable merit is a game-changing officiating decision.

  2. Disagree with you on Travis. That extension looks completely unnecessary.

I don't know if he's a dirty player or just a reckless one, but I'm not impressed with his game.

  3. clear red on travis, extended that arm as a means to get leverage not caring where it landed. He already had his arm above the other player didn't need to extend to get to the ball. extended his arm too high in an unsafe manner. his own fault for that.

  4. The Toronto play happened at 95:45. at 98 minutes, over 2 minutes later… thats 2 minutes of game disrupted, he still HASNT BEEN CALLED TO THE MONITOR! Then the Ref took a minute and a half to announce the call.
    This is WAY too long.
If it is clear and obvious then the VAR should be able to come to a confident decision (even if they find are wrong and call the Ref off during the review) within a reasonable timeframe, I think they should not be aloud to delay the game for more than 1 minute without calling a review. If they are asking for a delay to make a decision over 90 seconds after the play ends, then it should not be aloud to be overturned.

  5. I got yellow card on the first play, after VAR. VAR has gotten involved on calls much closer and much more obvious, the have also overturned calls to be absolutly stupid, I expect equality in incompetency.
I got straight red on the next one, should have been called on field in my opinion but again, this is clear and obvious red with the arm being extended INTO his face, AFTER connexion with his face. Rodondo was looking at the ball After he commits the foul, or while he commits the foul, sure. However, he was watching man as he was prepping for the foul.

Then again, this is the MLS, and the thing that makes it entertaining is you never know what the rules of the game are going into a play, its like the refs watches have google flip a coin on yellow card and red card plays.

  6. RE Travis' red …. he sprinted 20 or so yards directly at a player to hit him high with an extended arm (intentional or not doesn't matter in this case, IMO) fitting very clearly and obviously this law:

A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality must be sanctioned as serious foul play.

  7. So the Toronto penalty is exactly like the timbers one a couple months ago but they said advantage was given so no review? What’s the difference here?

  8. Nouhou should get a long suspension for that. I was almost a target by that ball, for just wanting a fist bump. If players can’t control themselves, that’s a horrible look.

  9. diehard Sounders fan and yeah Nouhou is acting like a chump. His stats are fading and he is bitter maybe? Dunno but its hurting the team. Maybe he needs to find a beer league.

  10. I don’t know, man. Say “we’ve gotten soft” or “not clear and obvious” or whatever you need to say. But I see a flying elbow to the face? I’m reaching for the red card. Not saying it’s right, not saying I wouldn’t have been fine with yellow, but… I’d have a tough time justifying no red card as the referee in the moment.

  11. the fact the first challenge was a red is wild, while there's contact its clearly not reckless and he lowkey didn't even get hit that bad 😭

  12. Didn't Berhalter actually get the ball? Isn't that all that's needed these days to then take out the opponent? I'd never say it was a clear error, but it is something Wiebe preaches most weeks.

  13. InstantReply Team — improving your MLS one nitpick at a time!😝
Clip 1: It's reckless and really nearly every game has something like this happen. It's a red.
    Clip 2: Red
    Clip 3: It's foul, PK
    Clip 4: PK
    Clip 5: PK
    Clip 6: PK
    Clip 7: PK
    Clip 8: Onside
    Clip 9: PK and red

  14. Toronto was NOT a penalty. They are both chasing the ball and the guy steps into the kick then falls down. TFC was robbed again. This is why I refuse to spend any $ on MLS. The officiating is subpar 90$% of the time.

  15. Owusu jumps into Schlegel causing the contact. If he had carried on running 100% that's a pen but he didn't, he jumped into Schlegel to cause the contact, he wasn't trying to dribble past Schlegel, if Schlegel somehow had insane reflexes and got out of the way then Owusu could've still ended on the floor.
