He played every single one of those 737 games like a cup final. He never took anything for granted and he gave it his all. Jamie Carragher! Legend!! 🙌🏾
Been a Liverpool fan all my life. I'd be reaching to say Jamie was ever world class but without a doubt week after week he put sweat, blood, tears and heart on that pitch. During our dark times, that was what we wanted to see.
Good tough player who was underrated IQ wise but I tell ya what he's even more underrated as a pundit in terms of his football knowledge he genuinely is one of the best out there at breaking down a game and analysing it
I am a Barcelona fan, Bilbao is that one club I always admire (maybe Villareal too) for the same reason. They mean so much for their town/city. The fans are that bit extra. Cool jersey too haha
To be a one club man at a club like Liverpool is incredibly difficult. And he was a starter. Yes it wasn't the greatest period in Liverpools history but it was still a massive club with a lot of pressure surrounding it. It's hard to say when next Liverpool will have one of those.
Jamie can be self deprecating and humble about his career. Hell often just laugh along with whatever is being said about him if its negative and downplay if its positive. But he was always at the heart of that defense for over a decade and always put everything on the line. A top defender in my opinion.
It’s almost impossible today because of two main reasons:
1. You now have strong football leagues with big budgets (like MLS or Saudi Arabia) where players can go after their peak.
2. Being over 30 is no longer considered “old” or a reason to retire early.
The only scenario left is when a player is good enough for his club, but not quite at the very top (international) level.
That’s why I really love how Athletic is trying to bring back — and keep alive — this mentality with their “One Club Man” trophies, promoting loyalty and identity in football.
The FPP rules will ruin this in English football. Selling homegrown players is way more profitable for clubs, so often they let they're best academy grown stars go.
I love these types of Thomas Müller, Totti, Maldini style players who are the heart and souls of their teams. This price means more than the Ballon Dor these days …
Kate looks great 👍🏾
Whatever you think of him as a pundit, Carra was a legend on the pitch. Played like a man possessed and bled for his teammates. #YNWA
The loyalty but also the greatness of the player and love of the fans for a club to keep a player his whole career is astounding!!!! ❤❤❤❤
737 games and not a single league title is more insane than playing 737 games lol
737 games and not a single iconic individual performance lol
Jamie and Gary Neville we're brilliant players not Micah level but brilliant players.
loyalty, resilience, and 737 is a massive number. King Jamie
we all dream a team of carragher
He played every single one of those 737 games like a cup final. He never took anything for granted and he gave it his all. Jamie Carragher! Legend!! 🙌🏾
Great loyalty but also fitness. 737 games while playing a really physical style. Kept himself in great shape.
Respect.

Much love Jamie ❤. YNWA
Philip Lahm and Thomas Muller should win this award as well.
Jamie was a hell of a player and leader. 737 is amazing at a big club like Liverpool 👍🏾 👏🏾
Id rather be a good player with great career, Than a great player with a good career.
737 games a pro is amazing… 737 games as a Liverpool player, one of the best if not the best club in England? Even better. Congrats to Jaime
737 games for just one team….
That's commitment…👏👏
Nice to see Jamie get some compliments for a change👏

One man club award or one club man? 😅
The definition of a club Legend. Excellent LB too. Well done Carra. YNWA.
Who was the woman that won the award?
No other club wanted this problem 😊
Athletic Club is a classy club. Remember how they wished Arsenal safe travels after getting thrashed in the first UCL match this season?
Magnifique 😂
Should have gone with neville together.
Trent could never understand
Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville. From the academy until retirement.

Not bad for an Everton fan, first trophy they've won in years 😅

Underrated shout mark noble
Wow 737 at the same club is crazy impressive
That really is an amazing achievement. Deserves it.
Good on you Cara proper loyal soldier who gave his heart for the club he loved 🫡
YNWA!
You will not get such one club players any more… Totti, Jamie and players like that were legends
