  1. One of the most underrated footballers of the last 40 years in my opinion, as a Liverpool fan my only regret about him, is that he wasn't signed earlier (like Gary Mac) and that he was released at 37, probably one of the best Liverpool players of the last two decades, ability, influence, will to win, consummate professionalism, he has it all, and I'm convinced that he will be a fantastic coach and then manager when he does (sadly) retire from playing.

  2. Have you all forgotton that football exhisted before the PL?
    Billy Bonds 799 appearances
    Trevor Brooking 647 appearances
Frank Lampard snr 551, all in 42 game seasons plus internationals and cups

  3. Absolute legend at Liverpool. When I look back, he was our gerrard replacement. Maybe not skill wise but definitely leadership. Couldn't be more happier for him. So glad he played for my club.

  4. People always talk how good of a professional he is which is true but as a footballer i think his extremely overrated, a very good footballer on his day. The clubs and trophies he won would be the envy off 99% of all professional footballers

  5. I am a Liverpool FC fan, we were so fortunate to have James on our team. My best mate is a gunners fan, no ones perfect, LOL, he said if he could have 11 James Milners in the team, they would win everything. Congrats James.

  6. Elite pro, and pretty damn good as well. I want him back at Liverpool in any capacity when he decides to retire. Still can't believe City let him go. Well done Millie, enjoy a sparkling Ribena, mate. YNWA.

  7. So glad to have had him at Liverpool. He is a rare breed of professionalism, without someone like that in your team is ten times harder to win the league.
Congratulations for this achievement and hope to see him in Liverpool again at some capacity.

  8. Milner was definitely one of them players that didnt get the light he deserved. Was one of the best left sided players in the prem on his day. The complete left wing player. He did everything. Then went on to play anywhere
