One of the most underrated footballers of the last 40 years in my opinion, as a Liverpool fan my only regret about him, is that he wasn't signed earlier (like Gary Mac) and that he was released at 37, probably one of the best Liverpool players of the last two decades, ability, influence, will to win, consummate professionalism, he has it all, and I'm convinced that he will be a fantastic coach and then manager when he does (sadly) retire from playing.
He played with Mark Viduka!
James is a Liverpool legend and we miss him a true professional player and to kids this is the player to look up to not Ronaldo but James miller
Another thing,Milner could play any position on the pitch
Brilliant Tribute…YNWA
I would love him to finish his career leeds.
3 x Premier Leagues
1x Champions League
2 x FA Cups
2 x League Cups
1 x UEFA Super Cup
1 x Club World Cup
Completed it, mate π
Legendary Milly! YNWA
Milner is a legend T three clubs that is rare
Wonder how if he plays rugby… mustve been a beast. Almost every post-match interview got his face scratched, bleed and what not. Man this guy π
Peter Shilton played nearly 200 more games than Milner

β€James Milner β€YNWAβ€ LOVE THE PASSION
LEEDS UNITED LEGEND
Though not my team I loved the way Leeds played back 25 years ago. Hard to believe he is still playing today having played with the likes of Viduka all those years ago.
if it wasnt for his pass in that yanited trashing, the world would never be introduced to that 'why always me' t shirt. think about that
milner still fit as a fiddle while rooney is getting balder & fatter..think about that
Have you all forgotton that football exhisted before the PL?
Billy Bonds 799 appearances
Trevor Brooking 647 appearances
Frank Lampard snr 551, all in 42 game seasons plus internationals and cups
Saw him at Villa in the late 2000s. What a wonderful consistent player he has always been. Great respect to Milly!
Absolute legend at Liverpool. When I look back, he was our gerrard replacement. Maybe not skill wise but definitely leadership. Couldn't be more happier for him. So glad he played for my club.
Mr Premier League π
People always talk how good of a professional he is which is true but as a footballer i think his extremely overrated, a very good footballer on his day. The clubs and trophies he won would be the envy off 99% of all professional footballers
I am a Liverpool FC fan, we were so fortunate to have James on our team. My best mate is a gunners fan, no ones perfect, LOL, he said if he could have 11 James Milners in the team, they would win everything. Congrats James.
Premier League legend
The first game of football was played on Parkerβs Piece, Cambridge in 1840. Milner was captain.

Congratulations James Milner the man the machine..
Respect
That was so nice of barry at the end.π’
Elite pro, and pretty damn good as well. I want him back at Liverpool in any capacity when he decides to retire. Still can't believe City let him go. Well done Millie, enjoy a sparkling Ribena, mate. YNWA.
You'll NEVER walk alone LEGEND ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½
Start him, bench him ,fail to play him sell him or loan him anywhere, the guy I always professional. What a Player
So glad to have had him at Liverpool. He is a rare breed of professionalism, without someone like that in your team is ten times harder to win the league.
Congratulations for this achievement and hope to see him in Liverpool again at some capacity.
His debut was even younger than Wayne Rooney's π
Milner was definitely one of them players that didnt get the light he deserved. Was one of the best left sided players in the prem on his day. The complete left wing player. He did everything. Then went on to play anywhere
Thank you James for everything π€
Liverpool will never forget you. Best penalty taker we ever had and one of the best role models.
overrated
Fantastic was a outstanding player for us. All the best YNWA π
Give the lad a ribena.
Brilliant role model and PL Legend. The fact that he's done well at every club he's played at says its all about his attitude.
Legend β€
I've always thought that Villa's biggest loss before their decline was losing Milner, and I've never seen a reason to change my mind.
Am I the only one who remembers James as a skinny, skillful winger? The way he reinvented himself as a midfielder was quite something.
Just love this man. Hardworking, lovely smile always.
Got milner on the back of my Newcastle shirt in 2007 when I was 17
